Dear Prayer Warrior,Years ago when asked, "Where do I see yourself in 5
to 10 years?" the place in which I kneel today did not come to mind, and
yet never before have I held the position so dear. I would love to
paint a beautiful picture of a person who has always recognized the
power of prayer, but if I did, I'd be lying. Not too long ago an old friend
called and asked if I would be her prayer partner. At the time, I
frequently prayed but I knew something was lacking. Interestingly
enough, I was not aware of what that "something" was, or better yet,
that I even lacked the "something." However, when we began to study the
privileges of prayer, when we began claiming God's promises and praising
in advance, I had an "Ah Ha," and understood the missing links! You see unlike hurried occasional prayers, real praise and thanksgiving bring power to our prayers. Also, Christ commands, “Pray without
ceasing;” that is, keep the mind uplifted to God, the source of all
power and efficiency. Through daily prayer to God, we will have wisdom and grace from Him to
bear the conflicts and stern realities of life, and come off
victorious. Women of Prayer began after
experiencing a power that could not kept to within, God is so
